Introduction
This paper introduces a new black-box approach for time domain modeling of commercially available single-phase photovoltaic (PV) inverters in low voltage networks. The test data collected by SCE engineers can be used to develop and validate solar PV models, which can be used to determine how this particular technology impacts the grid. SCE believes sharing these test procedures will encourage the inverter manufacturers to participate in additional testing.
